“Wow, just WOW!! Amazing pictures guys. We LOVED seeing the preview, it brought back so many memories of the happy day. Thanks also for your very kind words on the blog, the feeling is mutual as we are so happy to have had you both at the wedding. Everyone who has seen the pictures thinks they are incredible and we totally love your style and the way you’ve captured the emotion of the day, you both have an amazing talent.” – Warm words from Alex & Hannah

What a wonderful breath of fresh air it was meeting Hannah & Alex and their beautiful children. Such a privilege it was to be made to feel so welcome, without hesitation and truly a part of their wedding celebrations, by both families and all of their friends. Alex contacted me back in March worried that Will & I might be booked up for August. Looking back, how lucky we were to have had the date free!

From the outset Alex demonstrated his easy, humble and considerate nature, painting a magical picture of how he and Hannah envisaged the day, never making demands or restrictions on our photography. This graciousness and inclusivity was mirrored by Hannah and we instantly knew what an enjoyable day this would be.

Alex and Hannah, after having been together for over a decade, decided to escape the hustle of London for their wedding and selected the most elegant and somewhat regal backdrop of Elmore Court in Gloucestershire for the setting, close to where Hannah and her sisters grew up, in the Forest of Dean. Although from first impression, Elmore looks grand and a little imposing, this was far from the case. Just as Alex had first described, the house was informal and friendly, decorated beautifully with splashes of colour and vibrant, wild flowers. The wedding blessing took place within the main house, presided over by friends and was truly a wondrous affair, filled with laughter & light.

Drinks and canapés were taken on the lawn and then on to the The Gillyflower room for the wedding breakfast, speeches and as stipulated by Alex early on, a BIG PARTY.

As always, a huge dept of gratitude to my great friend, hugely talented, internationally renowned wedding photographer and absolute superstar Will Wareham, for weaving his usual magic. Here are just a small selection of our favourite photos:
